Please be aware that places are limited to 10 per group, so book your place early to avoid disappointment
Our 4 week course costs just £50 per person and includes all the ingredients and resources, however, if your school would like to host the course, you can send staff to attend free of charge.
The course is designed to provide a hands on approach to healthy home cooking that is interactive and educational. It’s ideal for those who work in a more sedentary role, are time poor, new to cooking or have interest in healthy cooking. Recipes are designed to be quick, nutritious, easy, tasty and inexpensive. Over the 4 week course a variety of meals will be cooked from quick breakfasts, vibrant salads, main meals and guilt free desserts.
Health Safety and Wellbeing work with Kyle Savin a professional chef from The Old Stable Catering Company, who provides a relaxed approach to cooking, useful tips and shares his expertise. It’s a great way to learn new recipes and distress.
After each session you will leave with some free samples to take home, menus, everyday cooking skills and confidence.

The Cornwall Healthy Weight Programme works with people of all ages throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to promote healthy eating and active lifestyles. Tel: 01209 310062
They currently offer a range of training courses and support for different age groups to attend for example college students and children with their families, a full list of sessions can be found on their interactive map.

The Food in Schools programme at Cornwall Healthy Schools offers a range of free staff training for teaching and catering staff, bespoke guidance and support and signposting to healthy eating resources.
In addition, they have designed the new Food in Schools Award to allow your setting to focus on a whole school approach to food education and the promotion of healthier lifestyles. It is completely free, and you will receive all the help and support you need to complete the award, which is made up of three key areas; Catering, the Classroom and the Community.
Live Well will provide you with advice on how you can make a few small changes to help you and your family get the recommended five portions of fruit and veg a day. You will also be able to see other services that are available near you, ranging from family activities, GP and Pharmacy services and provide advice on the new Eat Well Guide.
