The Workforce Health & Wellbeing Programme is committed to support Cornish staff to live happier, healthier lives and we are dedicated to provide the necessary support and opportunities to enable employees to develop their own staff wellbeing programme.

One size does not fit all so we want to work with you to develop a holistic culture of wellbeing that suits your unique staff through a flexible and responsive process of support and training which starts with your own Health and Wellbeing Champion. Together we can find what works for you; it may be token gestures which encourage a moment of happiness such as a midweek treat to minimize stress or it may be more structured techniques with a focus on individual value or physical health. We are here to help you find out what works well for you.

Breaking News - A warm welcome to the new Health & Wellbeing Project officer - Olivia Dunlop.

Olivia Joins Cornwall council's Health Safety & Wellbeing team as the new Wellbeing project officer as of 21st Dec 2018. Her role will be to assimilate the previous schools and council wellbeing programmes into a single unit over the next 6 months.

Hi all, my name is Olivia and I am excited that just before Christmas I will be taking up my new role as the wellbeing project officer with the HSW team at Cornwall council. For the past 6 months I have been a healthy lifestyle delivery advisor within the healthy Cornwall team and prior to this I had the slightly unusual role of promotions worker for the chlamydia screening team.

As a teenager I was very unfit and overweight, but after developing an interest in fitness and loosing two stone, I decided I wanted to do everything possible to have a career in health promotion in order to help others improve wellbeing.

wellbeing and fitness are a huge part of my life, I am a keen Crossfitter, I regularly attend yoga and I also teach fitness classes at my local gym. I believe that physical and phycological health are very closely linked and that employers have a huge part to play in supporting and engaging staff. 

one of the main parts of my role will be to work closely with the whole champion family (schools and Cornwall council) and so I look forward to meeting and sharing ideas with all of you on how we can develop and progress the 5 ways to wellbeing in employees lives

More than 21,000 people in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly are living with cancer. The Cove is a purpose built Macmillan Support Centre which provides a range of services including materials, counseling, benefits advice, support groups, dietary therapy and volunteering activities.
